Online Video Editing Projects Include
COLOUR GRADING
I use the industry recognized Colorista plugin from the Red Giant Magic Bullet suite to colour grade videos. Improving brightness, shadows, contrast, vibrancy, temperature and the colour balance of each clip.
BLEMISH CORRECTION
I use the industry recognized Cosmo plugin from the Red Giant Magic Bullet suite to do very light blemish correction. It will smooth out fine lines minimally.
SOUND EDITING
If there’s excess background noise, I’ll reduce it so your voice is in focus and is as clear as possible. There’s an old adage called fix-it in post. But, it’s actually best to fix it in production. Post-production’s magic can only go so far.
ANIMATED TITLES
I’ll animate the main points, steps, or tips you talk about in your video using your brand fonts and colours.
OPTIMIZED VIDEO FOR PLATFORM OF CHOICE
I’ll optimize the video for the platform of your choice so it’s ready for you to upload.
TECH ADVICE
While I’m no Geek Squad from Best Buy, I do know a little bit about video production, as it’s something I love to do myself and I have a bachelor's degree on the topic. If I notice something that can be adjusted in the production process, I may offer feedback or if you are struggling with sound or camera focus or what equipment to buy, I’m happy to help to the best of my abilities.
A look into the editing process
Step One: Starts with You
Schedule a free 30-minute 1:1 Creator Chat with me to tell me all about your project vision and goals. If we’re a good fit to collaborate, I’ll send you a welcome email with the next steps for a trial video. The welcome email will detail steps on how to upload your video outline, footage, audio, and brand assets to a designated Dropbox folder. You’ll upload these files at least seven days before the video editing start date.
Step Two: The Assembly
I’ll get to working on an assembly or editor’s cut on your video, taking inspiration from your previous work or work that currently inspires you. I’ll add my creative juices into the mix and focus on cutting out the unnecessary fluff and keeping what’s necessary to tell your story.
Step Three: Colour Grading
I keep the colour grading simple, but depending on your brand’s vibe or the footage - I’ll do my best to balance your video’s colours, brightness, shadows, and contrast in a way that is as appealing as possible. The higher the quality of footage I work with is the higher depth of colour range I can work with to make a beautiful picture. However, I often work with iPhone video quality and do my best to make it look crystal clear. Remember (and you probably already know this) that when you’re filming, aim to keep your footage in focus for optimal results in post-production.
Step Four: Sound Editing
Oooh-la-la. Every editor’s daydream. I enjoy the process of removing excess background noise and balancing the audio. Like camera quality, the better the sound recording, the better the output of sound during post-production. When it comes to music, I prefer my clients to upload their music to their designated Dropbox folder (A/N: see tools below for where to get copyright-free music for YouTube videos and commercial films).
Step Five: Animated Titles
I love a good animated title to emphasize a point. If your video calls for it, I’ll integrate an animated title using your brand’s fonts and colours.
Step Six: Final Optimized Export & Delivery
I’ll upload the editor’s cut directly into your designated Dropbox folder for you to leave your timestamped revision comments directly onto the Dropbox video page. If revisions are necessary, I’ll make them and upload the final cut to your designated Dropbox folder for you to share with the world.

Let’s share your creative gifts with the world.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I make my videos better?
Get in focus: Whether you’re using an iPhone or a DSLR camera, I recommend you master pixel-perfect lens focus (at least most of the time - we can’t always be perfect). You can get a remote to help you focus your lens on a DSLR camera.
Sound is crucial: If no one can hear you, it doesn’t matter how in focus you are on camera. Invest in a solid Rode microphone, and you’ll upgrade your videos, no matter the camera.
B-roll is underrated: Why do films look so seamless when you watch them? You probably don’t even notice when the editor decides to cut to another shot. Why? Well, there are multiple angles and lots of movement within a scene. That’s a lot more achievable when making a narrative or documentary film, but when filming a talking-head YouTube video, there’s not much action going on. But, this is why b-roll is crucial. While I’m a fan of an old-school jump-cut YouTube video, I still incorporate relevant b-roll to enhance the impact of a video, and I highly recommend all my clients do so as well.
Do your packages include youtube banners, endboards, and logo animations?
At this time, I don’t offer graphic design services. I recommend my YouTuber clients to have a YouTube channel banner designed and an end board as they’re helpful for subscriber conversion and increasing watch time. As for a logo animation/opening, that’s totally up to you.
How many rounds of revisions do I get?
I offer one round of revision.
How long will my video take?
Well, it depends. For a simple YouTube video, it works like this - I need the video outline, footage, audio, and other assets for the video at least seven days prior to the due date. In the video outline template, I’ve created in your designated Dropbox folder, you can write the due date for revisions. For other types of projects, we would need to discuss in more detail timelines.
What software do you use to edit your videos?
I use the most updated version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
Can we get the raw video editing project file?
Unfortunately, I don’t share raw video editing project files with clients. As part of the collaboration process, the messy puzzle making fun of the editing process is kept for me and the final product is for you to share with the world.
What can we expect in our final package/video delivery?
Depending on the destination of the video, you can expect a video optimized for the main platform you intend to upload on. I export in 1080p or the correct settings to match your video resolution. So, the higher the resolution video you send me, the higher resolution and definition of the output.

Tools that Make Your Videos Shine
Epidemic Sound Library
Epidemic Sound is the monthly subscription library I use for my YouTube videos, and I recommend it to any content creator looking for a wide selection of music. I like it because if you upload a video with music downloaded during your active subscription, you won’t be copyright flagged ever if you decide to cancel your monthly subscription.

Canon G7X Mark II
The Canon G7X Mark II is a failproof all-in-one camera for newcomers and pros on the go. Its one-click sharp focus and auto-focus features, as well as the depth of field range, allows you to capture gorgeous shots at multiple angles. The one con is that you can’t attach an external mic to it, so that’s where I would recommend the Canon EOS M50.

Rode VideoMic
RØDE Microphones have been in the business since 2004. The brand has gained high trust in the industry, and it’s a no-brainer recommendation. I use the Rode VideoMic and the Rode smartLav+ Lavalier. It’s a quick way to upgrade your audio from omnidirectional camera audio to directional microphone audio that reduces peripheral sounds.
